Product Safety Training Modules
Our product safety training modules—which consist of a series of 4-hour Live Webinars, covering each of the core areas of Product SafetyÌý- are an integral part of our 6-month, in-depth Business Certificate of Competency in Product Safety (BCCPS) Training Course.
The modules are also now available to book for people not attending the full BCCPS Course (see below).
Sector-based Modular Programme
Each of our Product Safety modules consists of a Live Online SessionÌý- conducted over 4 hours (plus additional time for breaks and lunch) - with one of our Product Safety experts (see our Presenter Profiles). Attendance at a number of these modules (you will be asked to select those most relevant to your career and experience) is an integral part of the BCCPS training programme - and is necessary to secure the final certification.
For those not attending the full BCCPS certification course, these modules are available to book separately or in multiples, with each costing £250 + VAT per module. 6) Design Risk Assessment (aka Pre-Risk Assessment)Our Expert Presenters:Mark GardinerÌýandÌýGeraldine Cosh Who is this module aimed at?Product technologists, Quality Assurance teams, product safety professionals working with all consumer products. What can you expect to get out of it?An understanding of the legal framework applied to design risk management. Product manufacturers and importers are required to ensure that their products are safe before placing them on the market under both the EU and GB legal frameworks, and this course addresses how to do this. The requirement to demonstrate that this has been done has recently been strengthened for all consumer products in the EU and Northern Ireland by the General Product Safety Regulation 2023. This session will walk through the concepts of design risk management and focus on the steps you should consider when designing, developing or buying a product.
